The Government  of North Macedonia reviewed and adopted Tuesday the text of the concerted agreement between Greece and North Macedonia on the construction of the interconnector for transfer of natural gas, authorizing Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi to sign the agreement with the Government of the Hellenic Republic.

The agreement will enable the gas networking of Central and Southeast Europe towards enhancing the diversity and competitiveness of gas supply and ensuring safety of regional supply, the Government said in a press release.

These objectives will also be secured by way of strengthening regional infrastructure and improving market integration, as well as by providing the required gas quantities for all consumers in the region of Central and Southeast Europe, including the Republic of North Macedonia, says the Government.
